The capture member payment is an important tool. It allows you to bill a member outside of the Proshop and their regular automated membership payments.
It is important to note that a "Capture Member Payment" will not fix an account with an overdue balance. In order to resume automated billing as well as collect the overdue amount see this article:

Rescheduling payment is important in ensuring that your member's billing cycle runs smoothly and they don't incur duplicate charges. By taking the time to reschedule payments properly, you can save yourself time and stress in the long run.
How to manually capture a one-time payment :
- Navigate to the member profile you want to charge
- Click on "Billing"
- Click "Capture Member Payment"
- Enter the amount you would like to bill. NOTE: Make sure the decimal is in the appropriate place
- Select the appropriate payment form
- Click "Pay Now"
